The Stuart / Pelham Marker on a small sliver of the Fredericksburg battlefield.
Positioned at a location now called "Pelham Corner", this memorial to the brave actions of CSA Major John Pelham
now stands amongst a collection of drug stores and strip mall stores as more of the
Fredericksburg Battlefield is forever lost to the constantly encroaching development.
This marker was moved slightly and turned in a direction opposite to that which it had been positioned
so that it can be viewed from a store parking lot.
