View looking from a knoll just north of Little Round Top which would have been part of General Sickles' Line had he
followed the orders of Major General George G. Meade. The rise in the distance on the left is just behind
the Devil's Den and east of the Wheat Field. The Confederates would have had to have successfully
crossed this ground to have broken the Union line if defended as ordered.
