Especially during the school year, students who have found their way to this site have occasionally
e-mailed requests for information related to homework or other assignments. While I appreciate very
much all of the visitors to this site, I have made it a practice to not answer questions posed for
the purpose of completing homework.
For those who wish to find information regarding the Battle of Gettysburg or the Civil War beyond
that which I have provided, primary sources which allow the reader to make their own conclusions are
the best source of information. Please click
here to
go to a list of resources and links that may be of use.
The most comprehensive site that I have found concerning Civil War related information is the United
States Civil War Center web site maintained by
Louisiana State University.
They have adopted as their mission the listing of all web sites related to the American Civil War.
As always, I welcome questions, comments, and especially corrections and will be glad to answer
e-mails not related specifically to the completion of schoolwork. Thanks for understanding.
As for the question of references, students of the Civil War, or any event in history,
place greater confidence in information offered with references. Those without should, as a matter
of good practice, be questioned. I have included a page with
references
for information throughout this site and have included sources for specific quotes. I have not
done so for what I consider general knowledge. My space unfortunately is limited. I have done my
best to ensure that all information presented is accurate. Please feel free to e-mail me if you
have any questions or corrections. I very much welcome and enjoy the feedback.
Thank you for visiting my site. Enjoy your stay.
